CTE and Contact Sports
In the final episode of Season 18, On That Point discusses the safety of contact sports in relation to CTE, a degenerative brain disease. The question of safety for young athletes playing contact sports has sparked major discussions. What causes CTE? Do these players need more protection against brain injuries? Guests include Dr. Jesse Mez, a top researcher at Boston University’s CTE Center, Dave Boghossian, a former college football player and coach, and three students involved in contact sports.
