Toxic Masculinity

Gender roles are deeply ingrained in our society, from how we act in school to the careers men and women choose. Recently, the media, corporations, and the general public have engaged in a discussion about some of the characteristics of traditional masculinity could be considered toxic and should be reevaluated. Guests professor Barbara Gottfried of Boston University’s Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies program and Applied Human Development professor and author Dr. Diane Levin.

Chinese New Year

Welcome to the first episode of this season of Amber. Chinese New Year is one of the most important Chinese festivals. In this Chinese New Year speicial edition, we will learn some essential words and phrases you need to know for the New Year. We will also explore New Year’s customs and traditions, such as couplets, with some American students. Finally, we will experience the New Year through the eyes of BU students.

On this year’s Super Bowl special, the Offsides cast and crew introduce a new Playoff Report Card segment, where Nick Bornstein will be sitting down with Steven Rubin to discuss this year’s NFL postseason play. Sam Bacherman and Cali Dolfi will then go head-to-head to debate their predictions for Super Bowl LIII in the latest edition of the Shot Clock.
